Booking Your Hunt
The first step in booking a reservation at Rancho El Zancudo is contacting us with your desired hunt dates. All reservations are made on a first come, first serve basis. After confirming your reservation dates, you will need to provide a 50% non-refundable deposit to guarantee your reservation. Due to high demand, we can only hold your reservation for 10 days without a deposit.
Deposits are non-refundable, unless you can find another hunter to replace you at full price. Rancho El Zancudo will not be responsible for finding a replacement hunter if you cancel your reservation. If an emergency prevents you from making your scheduled hunt, you may reschedule, depending on availability, for up to one year from your originally scheduled hunt. After placing your deposit, the only remaining balance due will be the kill fees at the end of your stay. The amount of those fees will vary, depending on the size and type of animals you kill. See our Pricing section for more information about pricing and what is included with your reservation fee.

Hunters transporting firearms into Mexico are required to fill out a gun license form and return it to us at least 60 days before his or her scheduled hunt date. We will submit all the paperwork required for each guest’s hunting and gun licenses to the proper government agencies. If you need help filling out these forms or have any questions, please contact us and we will be happy to assist you.
PLEASE NOTE: You are NOT required to bring your own gun for your hunt trip. Rancho El Zancudo has several ranch guns that you are welcome to use during your stay.
Rancho El Zancudo will also make sure all of your game and trophies are properly tagged before you transport them across the Mexican border into the U.S. Your guides will process all of your harvested animals and pack your cooler with any meat you wish to take home with you. (NOTE: Pork cannot be transported across the border.) If you prefer, we can also ship cape and antlers to your requested destination.
